The Safari just keeps coming!!!

So I finally moved all my pics from my camera to my comp.
And of course I have more safari pics!!!
This was one of the guys in our group. There was 7 rigs out of the 50 on the trail that were from Price. This guy is a Yankee's fan (although he wore a Dodgers hat)...not cool, but this was a cool shot. His back tires came up when his front tires hit the ground...scareh!!!
This is Hedgie! I loved this pic and how steep it looks. Real scareh!

And this was the big ledge from the bottom looking up. It was seriously huge!

And here is the obstacle the guides told me I couldn't get up. I proved them wrong...and I made it!!!I think I may have posted some similar to these...can't remember. So you get more! This one was right at the top of the obstacle. all the rest of the group had to stop and air up their front lockers right here. Guess who made it up without lockers...thats right, I did! LOL Sweet tarp house huh!
This is James's bronco. The pic two above this one is in the same place. This is just a better angle to show how steep it was. Mine died right here thanks to the carburetor. My new motto is "when in doubt, throttle out!"

Ok I think thats it for Jeep Safari pics. But who knows!!!

Oh the Memories!!

GOOD TIMES!!!!! Lake Powell in April! Yeah we're crazy! The temperature wasn't bad, but the water was ridic! We heard it was 54 degrees...don't know about you but to me...thats COLD! It was sooooo weird to be at Lake Powell and be in Jeans and a jacket all day! Our original plans were to go see Rainbow Bridge, but the wind came up and the waves slowly got bigger and bigger. Needless to say we didn't make it to the bridge...sad day!

Erick's Little helper!

I loved this one of Ty...he looks so cute! He is definately a fan of the boat. He'd cry when we were stopped but instantly stopped when we started cruising (or bouncing) again.

Zac is a ham like always! He wanted to ride in the bow soooooo bad, but there was so much splash coming over the bow that E & S wouldn't let him. Finally on the ride back he cruised up there, covered up with a towel, and laid down. I think he actually stayed the dryest! The water was splashing OVER him, none really hit him!
I kept asking Hunter if he was going to wakeboard...he always replied, "No Trace, its too cold!" LOL he was right though. Hunter sat in the back on the way to trailer the boats. He had Erick's sweat shirt on and had it pulled up over his head. Cannon thought this was hilarious! Erick's hoodie was SOAKED!

And here's a shot showing some of the waves. This wasn't even bad at all. The wind got so much worse. But hey, I still had a blast!
Next is Zac getting ready to swim. That kid is CRAZY!! Him and Hunter both took the plunge. Hunter didn't get his hair wet tho, so technically its not swimming! LOL LOL, but hey they're more brave than I am!
And last but not least was the boys after they dryed off (but not thawed out)! We had decided to call it a day and were on our way back to the launch ramp! Overall it was a crazy day. Trailering the boats was absolutely nuts. The waves were probably as tall as Hunter. LOL good times and good memories! Can't wait for July!

More Safari Pics

Here's a few more pics. All my friends have been posting, and I've been stealing them all!!! This first one was the line up for the safari parade. Our group was the first to leave. It was raining so hard!!

The big hill! You can see Mike's tow strap hooked to my rear bumper. It was a little intense! The pics don't do it any justice AT ALL!!!

This is James's bronco. It has a smiling bumper!!! We call his the pack mule!!!

The driver is missing!!! LOL I was into it!
Another one of the group airing down. You like my custom blue tarp top!

Goin up! James was my spotter, he's the one standing on my side.

Jeep Safari 2009

So I just got back from Jeep Safari. LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT!!! I'm a rock krawling JUNKIE! Not to mention my Bronco is a wheelin machine...or maybe its just the driver, who knows! LOL anyway, my friends and I signed up for an actual safari this year with guides and all that fun stuff! I honestly won't do another safari trail, but it was still fun. We spent the WHOLE day on the trail, and nearly 3 hours on one obstacle. But we still had a blasty!! haha So without further ado, here's the pics!!

This first one was right before we left for the trail. I was airing down my tires. I ran them at 15 lbs of pressure. My bronco is so light that we decided next time we go out we're going to run them with 10! You can see the rain drops on the window...it was raining soooooooo hard on the way to the trail head, and my windshield wipers are probably the slowest things you have ever seen...literally!

This one was a few of our group. The clouds cleared up for just a minute and the sun thought about coming out and being warm. It didn't last long!

Half of the group. We were almost the middle rigs.

This was by far the biggest obstacle I've ever done. My brakes aren't the greatest cuz we just did the disk conversion in the front and don't have a proportioning valve yet(the valve sends more break fluid to the disks in the front cuz they need more fluid than drum brakes), so one of my buddies in a full size bronco had a strap hooked to my bumper and he was my brakes. I was terrified, but it was awesome!

The trail guides told me I probably wouldn't be able to make it up this obstacle since I have open differentials (no lockers). I had to try it, just to say I tried it! And thanks to my mad driving skills, and a superb spotter, I made it just fine! Apparently I almost hit my spotter, lol I didn't notice, he was telling me "throttle THROTTLE...GO GO GO YOU GOT IT!!" So I went went went and nailed it!

This was my happy face when I got up the hill they told me I couldn't get up!

This was Fins and Things trail. We did it today (Sunday). The weather was awesome, and this trail only took about 2 hours.

So there's my first attempt at pics in the blog. I'm sure it looks kinda crazy. I couldn't get them to line up how I wanted. But yeah, thats Jeep Safari in a nutshell for ya!!!

My First Blog!
